Product description
The discovery at Sanxingdui, as well as other discoveries such as the Xingan tombs in Jiangxi, challenges the traditional narrative of Chinese civilization spreading from the central plain of the Yellow River, and Chinese archaeologists have begun to speak of "multiple centers of innovation jointly ancestral to Chinese civilization." Sanxingdui, along with the Jinsha site and the Tombs of boat-shaped coffins, is on UNESCO's list of tentative world heritage sites. The bronze head is a cultural relic unearthed in Sanxingdui, dating from the mid-Shang Dynasty. They were excavated in 1986 from Sanxingdui No.1 and No.2 sacrificial pits in Guanghan, Sichuan. Including ordinary bronze heads and bronze heads with gold foil masks. The whole of the bronze head with gold foil mask is shining with golden light, impressive in bearing. Among the archaeological discoveries in China, the Sanxingdui Site in Guanghan, Sichuan Province is the earliest large-scale bronze portrait site discovered so far in China. One of the most representative implements is the bronze head with gold mask which is famous at home and abroad for its special shape and unique cultural connotation.
